“I came here to have a coffee in the terrace and I have to say that I was surprised to see how beautiful the view is. On a beautiful day I wouldn't hesitate to come here and grab a beer and enjoy the view of the mountains, Monserrate, the contrast of the buildings and the trees/ palms. Very curious about coming here during the evening/ weekend. Cappuccino €2 Americano €2 $8000 COP each Review update April 2025 . Sadly I have to change my review. We went today for brunch and the food was not as good as it seems. Sandwiches ( pulled pork / chicken ) look good but the ingredients were cheap. Crisps were not good or crispy at all, they were stale. The bread of the sandwich wasn't good, cheap bread from a package. For the price they should use freshly baked bread. Also, the Astromelia breakfast wasn't the best. The bread ( again from a package) wasn't good, small portion of eggs and an ok parfait. If this is the same breakfast they offer to the guests of the hostel I would not be satisfied. I'd rather eat somewhere else. In conclusion , I'd go just for a drink but definitely not for food. The waiters were very kind but the service was slow.”
“Amazing place, highly recommend it!! My host, Yenis was so very kind and helpful: she's one of the best I met so far! I'm very grateful !!”
“Unfortunately this stay wasn’t what we wanted from accommodation in a city like Bogotá. The building itself is beautiful but it’s essentially a prison. To enter or leave the premises you basically need permission from the staff ( they have to unlock the door every single time ) making for an uncomfortable and awkward wait in which you feel like a nuisance. Not exactly a carefree fun hostel vibe and a problem if you’re a smoker … The room itself was pretty cold and slightly damp which noticeably affected our belongings. The loud music throughout the day is pretty bothersome if you're hoping to take a nap. The breakfast was simple but filling and served fairly pronto. Luis Miguel and the older lady were very pleasant and friendly people and a gorgeous cat lives here so plenty of cuddles.”
“I should have mentioned this place—it’s a rooftop located in a hostel in La Candelaria. The place is called Astromelia. It’s super peaceful and cozy. I had some delicious appetizers and received phenomenal service. Thank you so much Luis Miguel . Don’t miss the chance to visit it!”
“The staff are really lovely and it’s a great location. The beds are big and comfy. The rooftop area is really nice and the breakfast is good. The kitchen could be better equipped and the hallways can be quite noisy in the early mornings but otherwise we had a great stay here, would definitely recommend!”
